What were Sai Baba's personal habits regarding food and ascetic practices?

📖 Chapter 23

According to Chapter 23, Sai Baba lived a life of profound simplicity, avoiding many common ascetic practices. The text explicitly states that he never practiced fasting, austerities, or the strenuous labors of Hatha Yoga. His approach to food was equally unpretentious. He did not crave specific tastes or indulge his tongue with sweets. His sole sustenance was the 'Madhukari,' or daily alms of dry or moist bread, which he would collect from certain houses. He considered whatever he received, whether plain or fine, to be sweet, demonstrating a complete detachment from sensory pleasures.
