What were Sai Baba's own views on his divinity, and how did this contrast with his devotees' perceptions?

There was a notable difference between how devotees viewed Maharaj and how he presented himself. Chapter 0 explains that many devotees considered him a direct incarnation, with some specifically believing he was an incarnation of Shri Krishna due to his Leelas and power. However, Maharaj never claimed such authority. He consistently referred to himself as a "banda," or a servant of God. When giving blessings, he would say "Allah bhala karega" (God will do good), attributing the grace to God, not himself. He frequently uttered "Yaade Haq" (I remember God), but never "Anal Haq" (I am God), reinforcing his position of humility.
