What were Sai Baba's initial habits regarding money and personal possessions before He started accepting Dakshina?

📖 Chapter 14

In His early days, Sai Baba's lifestyle was marked by extreme simplicity and a lack of material possessions. As described in Chapter 14, for a long period, He did not take anything from anyone, regardless of whether they were a devotee. Instead of money, He would collect burnt sticks and fill His pockets with them. If someone happened to place a small coin near Him, He would use it to purchase necessities like tobacco or oil, as He was very fond of smoking. He would even return large copper coins if they were offered, demonstrating His initial detachment from wealth.
