What were Sai Baba's daily practices regarding the sacred fire and the distribution of Udi as described in Chapter 33?

📖 Chapter 33

According to Chapter 33 of the Sai Satcharitra, Sai Baba's daily routine involved several key practices related to the sacred fire, or Dhuni. He would ask for Dakshina, perform charitable acts, and purchase bundles of firewood. These logs were then offered into the constantly burning Dhuni in the Masjid. The ash that remained from this fire, known as Udi, was then distributed to devotees. This was not an occasional event; the text mentions it was a daily practice. Baba would give Udi to devotees in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, ensuring no one was sent away empty-handed. This sacred ash was also given as a sign of permission for devotees to depart from Shirdi, a practice known to all.
