In Sai Baba's time, travel could be quite challenging and a source of anxiety for devotees. As detailed in Chapter 33, there was no direct railway route to places like Jamner. A devotee named Bapugir Gosavi had to take a train to Jalgaon and then faced the prospect of traveling the rest of the way on foot with very little money. He was very anxious as he only had fourteen annas left after his train fare. However, Baba had assured him that all arrangements would be made. True to Baba's word, upon arriving at Jalgaon station, an orderly sent by Chandorkar was waiting for Gosavi with a horse-cart, or Tanga, to take him the rest of the way, thus resolving a major difficulty and demonstrating how Baba miraculously arranged for his devotees' needs.
What was travel like for devotees trying to reach places from Shirdi during Sai Baba's era, and how did Baba assist them?
