What was the story of Damu Shet Kasar, and how did he come to be a devotee of Maharaj?

Damu Shet Kasar, also known as Damodar Savlaram, was deeply saddened because he had no sons from either of his two wives. Chapter 0 explains that a friend's father-in-law, Ra. Govindrao Sapkar, suggested he visit Maharaj for a blessing. He followed this advice, came to see Maharaj, and received a blessing that resulted in the birth of a son. This miraculous event firmly established his faith in Maharaj. As a result of his gratitude, he took a vow to bring a new flag every Ram Navami and to feed all the Fakirs gathered on that day, a tradition that was still ongoing at the time of writing.
