What was the story of Amir Shakkar's rheumatism and how did Sai Baba treat it?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 22

Amir Shakkar was suffering from rheumatism and sought a remedy from Sai Baba. Baba's unconventional cure was to have him stay steadily in the Chavadi. As detailed in Chapter 22, this was a difficult instruction because the Chavadi was a dilapidated and miserable place. Despite the external conditions being completely contrary to healing, Amir's internal faith in Baba's word was strong. The text notes that Baba's medicine was His word, and by accepting this and staying in the Chavadi for an ordained nine months, Amir's ailment was addressed through his steadfast obedience and faith rather than a physical remedy.
