What was the specific ritual Baba performed with the water before using it to light the lamps?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 5

The act of lighting the lamps with water was preceded by a specific ritualistic act. Chapter 5 details this process precisely. After being refused oil, Baba returned to the mosque and picked up his tin pot, which contained a minuscule amount of oil. He then poured water into that oil and drank the mixture himself. This act is described as "making it an offering to Brahman (the Supreme)." Only after performing this sacred offering did he take plain water, pour it into the lamps to soak the dry wicks, and then light them. The lamps then burned through the night, powered by this consecrated water.
