What was the significance of the two ceremonial flags at the Ram Navami fair, and who provided them?

During the Ram Navami fair, a grand procession featured two large ceremonial flags that were taken to the Masjid and tied at each end. As detailed in Chapter 0, these flags represented the devotion of two key individuals. One flag was provided by Ra. Shankarrao Raghunath Deshpande, also known as Nanasaheb Nimonkar, a government-appointed Honorary Magistrate from Nimon. The second flag came from Damu Shet Kasar of Ahmednagar.
