What was the significance of the sacred fire, or Dhuni, that Sai Baba maintained, and how did He ensure it was always burning?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 23

The sacred fire, known as the Dhuni, was a central and constant feature of Sai Baba's presence in the Masjid. According to Chapter 23, Baba showed a strange determination to keep this fire burning twenty-four hours a day, similar to the fire of an Agnihotri, or fire-priest. It burned continuously through all seasons, be it summer, autumn, winter, or the rainy season. To ensure the Dhuni never went out, Baba would personally buy bundles of firewood purely for this purpose, piling them in the courtyard. He would even collect wood himself during market time to maintain the ever-burning sacred flame.
