What was the significance of the Chavadi, and what kind of celebrations took place there?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 37

The Chavadi was a very significant place in Shirdi, as Sai Baba adopted a routine of sleeping there every other night, alternating with the Masjid. As recorded in Chapter 37, this practice continued uninterrupted until His Samadhi. The Chavadi also became a hub for vibrant celebrations, especially from December 10, 1910, when formal worship, bhajan, and adoration began there. On the nights Baba was scheduled to be at the Chavadi, a bhajan group would gather at the Masjid and perform until midnight, after which a procession would take place. The entire event was a grand celebration of devotion to Sai.
