What was the significance of the bundle Kashiram was carrying, and what was the ultimate outcome of his fight with the thieves?

📖 Chapter 0

The bundle Kashiram was carrying held great personal significance, although it contained only powdered sugar. According to Chapter 0, a saint named Janakidas Baba had advised him to carry it to feed ants, making the bundle very precious to him. When thieves attacked, he fought to protect it. The outcome was dramatic: he killed two assailants but was then severely injured and left for dead. Miraculously, he survived and, refusing a hospital, was taken to Shirdi. There, under Maharaj's care, he recovered and was later honored for his bravery with a sword from the Bombay government. This illustrates his faith and Maharaj's protection.
