What was the Sanyasi's stated purpose when he returned to Dev's house a month later?

When the Sanyasi returned to Dev's house about a month after his initial visit, his purpose was completely different. Instead of asking for money for his cow protection cause, he specifically requested a meal for himself and two companions. As narrated in Chapter 40, upon arriving at Dev's house, the Sanyasi explicitly said, "I am not in a hurry for money. 'I haven't come for money; today we want a meal.'"
