What was the role of the horse Shyamakarna in the Chavadi procession, and what other ceremonial elements were present?

📖 Chapter 37

The copper-colored horse named Shyamakarna played a prominent role by leading the procession. Chapter 37 notes that the horse was fully adorned with ornaments and had bells jingling on its feet. In addition to the horse, other ceremonial elements added to the grandeur. Heralds and mace-bearers walked ahead, shouting the name of Sai. Two chowrie-bearers fanned Baba, and devotees spread shawls on the path as foot-cloths. This combination of a decorated lead horse and royal-style attendants created a majestic spectacle.
