What was the process of surrender that Balasaheb Deo went through regarding his spiritual practice of reading the Dnyaneshwari?

📖 Chapter 41

Balasaheb Deo's process of surrender, as described in Chapter 41, was a gradual one born from repeated failure. Initially, he tried to establish a daily reading through his own willpower but found it was constantly interrupted. He then took a long leave from work, hoping the free time would help, but he still failed. He then scaled back his ambition to just five verses daily, but even this minimal resolution was not successful. Having exhausted his own methods and feeling distressed, he reached the final stage of surrender. He made a vow to completely stop trying on his own and put his faith entirely at Sai's feet, resolving to only read the Dnyaneshwari if and when he received a direct order from Sai Baba to do so.
