What was the outcome for Kashiram after he was attacked by thieves and left for dead?

Although the thieves thought Kashiram was dead after striking him with an axe, he was in fact still alive. He regained consciousness and, due to his complete faith in Sai Baba, refused to go to a hospital, insisting instead on being taken to Shirdi. As Chapter 0 recounts, upon arriving in Shirdi, he was treated by Madhavrao Deshpande on Maharaj's instructions, and by Baba's grace, he recovered. For his bravery during the fight, Kashiram was later awarded a sword by the Bombay government. He lived for some years after this event, passing away in Shake 1830.
