The Buti wada was originally intended to be a temple for Lord Krishna, specifically with an idol of Murlidhar installed in its central hall. As described in Chapter 39, Bapusaheb Buti sought and received Sai Baba's joyful permission for this plan. However, events took an unexpected turn when Baba fell seriously ill. Bapusaheb grew anxious that the mansion's purpose would be lost. This anxiety was resolved by Baba's final command before leaving his body: "Place me in the mansion." Following this instruction, Baba's holy body was placed in the inner sanctum that had been prepared for Murlidhar, and the mansion was thus transformed into the sacred Samadhi Mandir, fulfilling what the text calls its "great fortune."
What was the original purpose of the Buti wada, and how did it ultimately become the Samadhi Mandir?
