What was the original purpose of the building that is now the Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 39

The building that became the Samadhi Mandir was originally planned as a temple and mansion by Bapusaheb Buti. The central purpose was to house an idol of the deity Murlidhar on a throne within a central courtyard. As Chapter 39 describes, Shama presented this plan to Sai Baba, who gave his joyful permission. The construction of the inner sanctum and platform for Murlidhar was completed, and an artisan was hired to create the idol. This original plan was altered by later events, leading to the mansion becoming Sai Baba's final resting place instead.
