What was the original purpose of the building that is now the Samadhi Mandir, and how did it change?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 39

The building now known as the Samadhi Mandir was originally planned by Bapusaheb Buti to be a temple for the deity Murlidhar. As described in Chapter 39, the plan involved a central courtyard with a throne for the idol. Sai Baba joyfully gave his permission for this, even saying he would come to stay there. However, as Baba's health declined, Bapusaheb grew anxious about the building's future. The purpose changed dramatically with Baba's last words: "Place me in the mansion." Following this command, his holy body was placed in the inner sanctum, transforming the mansion intended for Murlidhar into the revered Samadhi Mandir, thus fulfilling what the text calls the mansion's "great fortune."
