What was the original purpose of the building that is now Sai Baba's Samadhi Mandir, and how did it become his final resting place?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 39

The building that became the Samadhi Mandir was originally a mansion, or wada, constructed by Bapusaheb Buti. As detailed in Chapter 39, Bapusaheb's initial plan was to create a temple for Murlidhar (Lord Krishna) in the central hall of this mansion. He even received Sai Baba's joyful permission for this project. However, due to a profound turn of events and Baba's own last words, "Place me in the mansion," the purpose of the structure changed. After Baba left his body, he was interred in the very inner sanctum that had been prepared for the Murlidhar idol. Thus, the Buti Wada, originally intended to house a Krishna temple, became the holy Samadhi Mandir where Sai Baba's body rests.
