The original plan for the building, conceived by Bapusaheb Buti, was for it to be a temple and mansion. The temple section was intended to house an idol of the deity Murlidhar on a throne in a central courtyard. According to chapter 39, this plan was presented to Sai Baba by Shama, who sought his permission. Upon hearing the plan, Baba reacted joyfully, giving his full approval. He sweetly said, "After the mansion is finished, we will use it for ourselves. There we shall talk and walk; there we shall all play together," and even instructed them to break a coconut to mark the auspicious start of the foundation work.
What was the original plan for the Buti Wada, and how did Sai Baba react to it?
