What was the original plan for the building that is now the Samadhi Mandir?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 39

The building we now know as the Samadhi Mandir was originally a mansion, or wada, constructed by Bapusaheb Buti. His plan, as described in Chapter 39, was to convert the central hall into a temple dedicated to the deity Murlidhar. Bapusaheb intended to break the side walls to create a central courtyard with a throne for the idol. He sought and received Sai Baba's permission for this project. Baba even said, "After the mansion is finished, we will use it for ourselves," foreshadowing the building's ultimate destiny. The inner sanctum was built for Murlidhar, but fate intervened, and the mansion became Baba's final resting place.
