What was the origin and condition of the Sai Baba photograph that was shown to Kakasaheb Dixit?

The photograph of Sai Baba shown to Dixit had a special history, as detailed in Chapter 51. It was originally worshipped with great love by Megha, one of Baba's devoted disciples, who revered it as Lord Shankar. The glass covering the photograph had broken, which is why it had been sent from Shirdi with Balasaheb to the town of Nagar for repairs. After being repaired, the portrait was kept in Mirikar’s drawing room, covered by a cloth, until it was fortuitously revealed to Dixit.
