What was the nature of the relationship between Maharaj, Tatya Patil, and his mother Bayajabai?

Chapter 0 describes a profoundly loving relationship between Maharaj and the family of Tatya Patil. Tatya's mother, Bayajabai, showed great devotion by serving Maharaj at a time when many villagers considered him mad, always providing him with alms. As Chapter 0 explains, the fruit of this service was especially received by her son, Tatya. Maharaj had great love for Tatya, whom he pampered. Tatya called Maharaj "Mama" (uncle), and their affectionate "uncle and nephew" conversations were a sight to behold. Tatya also managed all arrangements in the Masjid and would personally assist Maharaj daily, holding his hand to help him up.
