What was the nature of Sai Baba's teachings? Did he deliver complex philosophical lectures?

As explained in Chapter 0, Maharaj did not give complex discourses on profound Vedanta subjects or the Upanishads. His advice was primarily ethical in nature. This method is described as the Sadguru's practice of first purifying the disciple's ground before sowing the seed of knowledge. While he gave verbal advice through stories, the text emphasizes that the advice received from him in the form of direct experience was considered infinitely more valuable and brought the highest benefit to devotees who approached him with faith.
