What was the nature of Kashiram Shimpi's devotion and service to Sai Baba?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 0

Kashiram Shimpi was one of Maharaj's most dedicated early devotees, as described in Chapter 0. His service was comprehensive, offered with his 'body, mind, and wealth.' Specifically, Kashiram took a vow to provide Maharaj with practical necessities like chillum, tobacco, and firewood for his Dhuni. He also gave him money, at times placing his entire money bag before Maharaj and asking him to take what he needed. In a personal gesture of devotion, Kashiram also stitched and gifted Maharaj a green kafni and cap, even though Baba usually wore white. His eventual passing on an Ekadashi day was noted as a sign of his blessed status as a devotee.
