What was the first miracle Chand Patil witnessed that convinced him Sai Baba was a saint?

The first miracle Chand Patil witnessed involved Sai Baba's chillum. As detailed in Chapter 5, after Baba successfully directed Patil to the location of his lost mare, Patil returned with the animal, astonished. Baba then made him sit nearby. To light his tobacco pipe, Baba performed an extraordinary act. He picked up a pair of tongs, or a 'chimta', thrust them directly into the earth, and miraculously pulled out a glowing ember. He then placed this ember on the chillum. Upon seeing this, Chand Patil was amazed and realized he had met an 'Avaliya' or saint, as Chapter 5 recounts.
