What was the Chavadi procession in Shirdi like? Could you describe the atmosphere and the key elements of the event?

📖 Chapter 51

The Chavadi procession was a grand and festive event filled with devotion. According to Chapter 51, it was a regular occurrence, as Baba alternated sleeping between the Masjid and the Chavadi. On procession nights, devotees would hold a grand bhajan with cymbals and mridanga while a palanquin was decorated. The procession itself was majestic, led by a beautifully ornamented horse named Shyam-Karna. People carried flags, banners, and torches, while an umbrella was held over Baba's head. With the sounds of horns and trumpets, and devotees singing joyfully, Baba was escorted in royal splendor to the Chavadi.
