What was the Buti wada originally supposed to be, and how did that plan change?

πŸ“– Chapter 39

The building known as the Buti wada was originally planned as a temple for the deity Murlidhar. As detailed in Chapter 39, Bapusaheb Buti's vision was to construct a central courtyard with a throne for an idol. However, this plan changed dramatically following Sai Baba's final illness. Just before he passed, Baba's last words were, "Place me in the mansion." In accordance with this command, his holy body was placed in the inner sanctum that had been built for Murlidhar. Thus, the mansion, which was intended to house a deity's idol, was transformed into the Samadhi Mandir, the final, sacred resting place of Shri Sai himself.
