What was the atmosphere like during the Chavadi procession? Describe the sights and sounds.

📖 Chapter 51

The atmosphere of the Chavadi procession, as described in Chapter 51, was one of immense joy and devotion. The air was filled with the sounds of grand bhajans accompanied by cymbals and mridanga, as well as horns, bugles, and trumpets. Visually, it was a magnificent spectacle with a decorated horse named Shyam-Sundar dancing at the front, and devotees carrying flags, banners, and torches that illuminated the night. A royal umbrella was held over Baba, whose golden-hued face was said to shine like 'gold mixed with copper' in the lamplight, creating a holy and memorable darshan.
