What was Sapatnekar's own theory for why Sai Baba was so harsh with him at first?

📖 Chapter 48

While enduring Sai Baba's repeated dismissals of "Chal Hat," Sapatnekar engaged in deep self-reflection to understand the cause. As detailed in Shri Sai Satcharitra Chapter 48, he considered several possibilities for Baba's displeasure. He wondered if his past Karma had reached its peak or if he had become a "shelter for infinite sins" by violating Dharma. However, he landed on a more specific reason related to his own attitude. He recalled his initial interactions with Baba, concluding, "In the beginning, I was argumentative and doubtful about Baba; perhaps that is why Baba is putting me in this situation." This personal admission suggests he believed his own initial skepticism was the root cause of the harsh treatment he was receiving.
