What was Sapatnekar's internal state before and after he heard Sai Baba recount his life story?

📖 Chapter 48

Before the revelation, Sapatnekar was in a state of extreme distress. As narrated in Chapter 48, he felt rejected by Baba's constant rebukes of "Chal Hat" and was so troubled that food and water tasted bad and he was sleepless. He wondered if he was being punished for past sins or his initial skepticism. However, after he held Baba's feet and overheard Baba narrating his entire life to a shepherd woman, his state transformed completely. He was filled with "great wonder" and "deep respect for Sai’s feet was etched in his mind." This experience replaced his distress with the profound realization that Baba was a "great knower of the inner self," fully aware of every detail of his life.
