What was Sapatnekar's experience with Sai Baba, and how was his distress resolved?

📖 Chapter 48

Sapatnekar was initially in great distress because every time he went for Darshan, Sai Baba would harshly rebuke him with "Chal Hat." This made him feel singled out and question his past karma, leading to sleeplessness and a loss of appetite. His ordeal is detailed in Chapter 48, where it is shown that his suffering was a test of his faith. Sapatnekar made a firm resolve to stay until he received Baba's grace. The resolution came when he found an opportunity to hold Baba's feet. Baba then miraculously narrated Sapatnekar's entire life story through a conversation with a third person, revealing His omniscience. Finally, Baba directly addressed Sapatnekar, consoled him over the loss of his son, and promised him another child, turning his sorrow into tears of joy.
