What was Sai Baba's routine for serving the food after it was cooked?

Once the food in the Handi was fully cooked, Sai Baba followed a specific ritual for its distribution. As described in Chapter 38, he would first test the food properly before taking it down from the hearth and bringing it into the Masjid. The next step was to have a Maulvi formally offer the 'Fatya,' which is a consecration prayer. After the food was blessed, Baba would first send portions of the Prasad to Mhalasapati and Tatya. Following this, Baba would personally serve all the remaining food to the poor and weak, taking great joy and contentment in satisfying their hunger and affectionately encouraging them to eat their fill.
