What was Sai Baba's primary reason for accepting Dakshina from his devotees?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 14

Initially, Sai Baba did not accept any offerings and would only collect burnt sticks. However, as Chapter 14 explains, it eventually came to people's minds that one should not visit a saint for darshan empty-handed, so He began taking Dakshina for that reason. More profoundly, Baba's ultimate intention in accepting these offerings was a spiritual one. For the ordinary devotees who were entirely attached to the world and sought material gains, Baba's intention was that through the very act of giving Dakshina, their hearts should become pure, guiding them toward a higher purpose.
