What was Sai Baba's practice concerning Dakshina, or offerings, from his followers?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 14

Sai Baba's practice was to ask for Dakshina, or an offering, from nearly everyone who came for his darshan, regardless of their faith, be they Hindu, Muslim, or Parsi. As detailed in Chapter 14, the amount He requested varied greatly, from a mere one or two rupees to vast sums like thousands or even crores. If a devotee gave what was asked, He might say, "Bring more," and if they claimed to have no more, He might instruct them to take a loan. This consistent practice was a central element of the devotee's interaction with Him, serving a deeper spiritual purpose beyond the monetary value of the offering.
