What was Sai Baba's philosophical explanation of His true identity, beyond His physical form?

Sai Baba provided a profound explanation of His true nature, distinguishing it from His physical body. As detailed in Chapter 3, He clarified that "Sai's body is perishable," but His true essence is the "imperishable Brahman" which is worthy of worship. He revealed that He is present everywhere in the form of the eightfold nature (Ashtadha-prakriti), a concept He noted was also explained by the Lord to Arjuna in the Gita. Baba stated, "I alone am playing as the eightfold nature; this is a miracle of mine." He is the essence within all things in the universe, both moving and unmoving.
