What was Sai Baba's perspective on argumentation and intellectual pride?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 2

Sai Baba held a very firm stance against argumentation and intellectual pride, viewing them as significant spiritual obstacles. As recorded in Chapter 2, He taught that a mind inclined towards argumentation is filled with ignorance and Maya. He warned that such a person is not fit for self-knowledge and is plagued by bad thoughts and false logic, leading to unhappiness in this life and the next. His direct advice was, "Do not establish your own side, do not refute the other side, Do not engage in dualistic explanations." He considered such debates a useless effort, a lesson that the author, Hemadpant, took to heart given his own initial disposition.
