What was Sai Baba's perspective on argumentation and debate?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 2

Sai Baba strongly advised against argumentation. In Chapter 2, He is quoted as saying, "Where there is a mind for argumentation, there is abundance of ignorance and Maya." He taught that such a mindset lacks purity of self-interest and is filled with bad thoughts and false logic, making a person unfit for self-knowledge. Baba warned that such individuals find no happiness in this world or the next. He specifically instructed, "Do not establish your own side, do not refute the other side, Do not engage in dualistic explanations. Why such useless effort?" This teaching profoundly impacted the author, who was initially a staunch debater himself.
