What was Sai Baba's initial, seemingly contradictory, reaction to the sannyasi Vijayananda's arrival for darshan?

📖 Chapter 31

Chapter 31 describes a puzzling initial encounter. When the sannyasi Vijayananda took darshan and performed prostrations at Sai Baba's feet, his own mind became very pleased. However, Baba's disposition then became disturbed, and He unexpectedly told the assembly to 'send away this sannyasi; there is no companionship for work.' As Vijayananda was new and did not know Baba's nature, he became distressed by this reception. Despite the apparent rejection, he did not leave but instead sat down to continue watching the service, illustrating the perplexing nature of Baba's actions.
