What was Sai Baba's initial reaction to the sannyasi Vijayananda after he had his darshan?

After becoming worried by Swami Somdevji's description of the journey to Mansarovar, the sannyasi Vijayananda went and took darshan of Sai Baba. Chapter 31 states that he performed prostrations at Baba's feet and his mind became very pleased. However, the mood shifted dramatically. The text describes that Baba's disposition was then disturbed, and He spoke to the assembly, saying, "send away this sannyasi; there is no companionship for work." As Vijayananda was new and did not understand Baba's nature, he became distressed at heart by this seemingly harsh dismissal.
