What was Sai Baba's daily routine regarding the sacred ash, or Udi, in Shirdi?

According to Chapter 33, Sai Baba had a consistent daily practice involving Udi. He would collect firewood bundles, often buying them from those with a surplus, and offer these dry logs into the sacred Dhuni, the fire he kept constantly burning. From this fire, a great quantity of ash, or Udi, was produced. As detailed in this chapter, Baba would apply this Udi to devotees and would never send anyone away empty-handed, distributing it in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. This distribution of Udi was a well-known daily ritual in Shirdi.
