What was Sai Baba's daily practice regarding the Udi from the sacred fire as described in the Satcharitra?

According to Chapter 33, Sai Baba had a consistent daily practice involving Udi, or sacred ash. He would purchase bundles of firewood and offer the dry logs into the sacred Dhuni, the fire he kept constantly burning. The resulting ash, or Udi, was then distributed to devotees. Chapter 33 explains that Baba would give Udi to devotees in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, never sending anyone away empty-handed. This Udi was also given as a sign of permission for devotees to leave Shirdi and return to their villages, a practice known to all.
