What was Sai Baba's daily life and routine like inside the mosque before his following grew?

Chapter 5 provides a vivid picture of Sai Baba's early days in the mosque. His life was one of extreme simplicity. He would always be found on his favorite seat, facing south and looking at the dhuni (sacred fire), which served as his only protection from the cold as he wore just a loincloth. The mosque itself was a tiny, two-bay space where he sat, slept, and met people. He symbolically offered his ego and worldly desires into the dhuni, constantly repeating "Allah-Malik." Conveniences like mattresses and pillows only appeared later, once a community of devotees gathered around him.
