Sai Baba strongly advised against engaging in arguments and debates. As recorded in Chapter 2, He stated, "Where there is a mind for argumentation, there is abundance of ignorance and Maya." He viewed this tendency as a sign of impurity, filled with bad thoughts and false logic, rendering a person unfit for self-knowledge. According to Baba, such a person is devoured by ignorance and can find no happiness in this world or the next.
