What was Sai Baba's character like, particularly in his response to those who mistreated him?

📖 Chapter 0

Sai Baba was characterized by his profound mercy and forgiveness. Chapter 0 explains that after the villagers witnessed the lamp miracle, those who had previously harassed him became very scared. However, Baba was "completely merciful." His guiding principle was not merely to appreciate good deeds but, more importantly, "to do good even to them" who had done wrong. Because of this compassionate nature, no one had any reason to fear him. He cared for all the people like a father and would even provide warnings about impending calamities, solidifying his role as the village's protector.
