What was Sai Baba's attitude towards giving money? Did he give charity to everyone who asked?

According to Chapter 29 of the Shri Sai Satcharita, Sai Baba's approach to charity was both generous and highly unpredictable. The text describes him as having 'abundant generosity,' sometimes giving ten rupees to some and fifty to others. However, it explicitly clarifies that he did not give to everyone who asked. Verse 14 states, 'He would distribute money - this was true; there was nothing false about it. But he did not give to everyone - no one knew his mind.' The chapter suggests that receiving money from Baba was a matter of fortune, a blessing reserved for those whose 'auspicious time had arrived.' Thus, while he was merciful, his charity was not distributed equally to all who came to his door.
