What was Sai Baba doing in the final two weeks before he passed away?

In the period leading up to his passing, Sai Baba undertook a specific spiritual observance. Knowing his end was near, he listened to the Ramayana being recited by a Brahmin. As Chapter 44 explains, Baba did this with focused contemplation for fourteen consecutive days and nights. This two-week period of listening to the sacred text concluded on the day of Vijayadashami, which was the very day that Baba attained the state of bodilessness and left his physical form.
