What was Nanasaheb Nimonkar's background before he dedicated his life to serving Maharaj?

Before his deep involvement with Maharaj, Nanasaheb Nimonkar, whose full name was Ra. Shankarrao Raghunath Deshpande, was a prominent figure. As Chapter 0 describes, he was the Deshpande of Nimon village in the Sangamner taluka. He was a leader among his people and held the government-appointed position of Honorary Magistrate for many years, which he eventually left due to old age. He initially came for Maharaj's darshan at his uncle's suggestion, and over time, his faith grew so strong that he spent his last three years in constant service to Maharaj.
