What was Madhavrao Shama's reaction to Sai Baba's seemingly partial treatment of the two visitors from Goa?

📖 Chapter 36

According to Chapter 36, Madhavrao (Shama) was present and witnessed the interaction with the two gentlemen from Goa. Seeing Baba ask for fifteen rupees from one man but then reject thirty-five rupees from his friend, Shama was greatly surprised and confused by this apparent partiality. He directly questioned Baba, asking, "Baba, why do you do this?" He pointed out the inconsistency of asking for a small amount while rejecting a larger voluntary offering, which caused disappointment to the giver. Shama even commented that if he were in Baba's position, he would not act in such a way, prompting Baba to deliver a profound teaching on karmic debt.
